Dancing On Ice 2010 Week 11

Wow! Sunday night was incredible! To start, it was just an incredible show, everyone did such an amazing job with their props. Skating is tough enough, skating with a prop is even harder. The celebs worked very hard and it really paid off. It was sad to see Danny Young leave the competition, he was excellent on the ice.

Danniella and I were so shocked with how well our performance went, it couldn't have been better. To receive solid scores all across the board and to be at the top of the leader board was sensational. We never thought it would happen, but you just never can tell! On top of that we were so thankful for everyone who voted and put us through to the semi-finals.

This week we have our work cut out for us. The required element is that the celebrity must skate the first 30 seconds of the routine on their own. It is the strangest feeling to think that Danniella will be skating out of the tunnel and starting the program by herself. I feel like a parent letting my child go completely on their own for the first time. I am so proud of her and how far she has come from the beginning. She is an incredible woman both on and off the ice, and really puts 100% into everything she does. But for now, lets get to work, only a couple more days until the show!

Dancing On Ice Week 10 *Props Week* -

What an exciting week to be a part of! It was an extremely close call last week, and it was so hard to see Mikey leave the competition. It is really hard to understand the feeling of not only being in the skate off, yet alone having to see a skating couple leave the competition.

This weeks required element is to skate with a prop. Danniella and I have been given an office chair. Yes, a chair. Not only does it swivel, but it also has wheels. I am not sure how many of you have ever been spun around in an office chair before, but try spinning it around on the ice...its scary! The challenge to master skating with an office chair has been one I will never forget. It is so unpredictable! Each run through of the routine is never the same. Trying to get the choreography down and make it look as though it is natural is the biggest challenge for us. We have officially named the chair "Scarlett". We felt the chair needed a name, as it has become a part of our journey here on "Dancing On Ice".

I am really excited to see everyone's routine this week, and look forward to an exciting (and safe) night. Good Luck to everyone!
